Miramar Community Safety Day
Wellington City Council is working with the Eastern Suburbs Community Policing team to organise a ‘Community Safety’ event for the Miramar and Strathmore communities.
To be held at the Miramar Community Centre (27 Chelsea Street, Miramar) on Sunday 22nd September from 2pm -4pm, this is a free event for the residents of Miramar and Strathmore communities to promote lots of different aspects of community and personal safety.
We will have a free sausage sizzle, Neighbourhood Support groups, Community Patrols, WREMO (selling emergency water bottles and home tanks), the local Fire Service officers, community police and lots more! Kids can play in the police cars or fire engines! Miramar Community Centre now has emergency water tanks, and if you bring your emergency water bottles along, we can hook up the manifold and show you how they will work in a Civil Defence emergency.
