What is Limited Service Volunteer (LSV) programme?

The Limited Service Volunteer (LSV) programme is a fun, hands-on and challenging six week training course. This wide ranging indoor/outdoor programme includes everything from rock climbing to interview skills and tramping to budgeting. See the enclosed brochure for more details.
The programme is absolutely free!
The LSV programme is a great chance to learn new skills, increase your confidence, meet new people and improve your chances of getting a job. Completing the course may lead to employment at one of City Housing construction sites.
LSV is a learning camp – not a boot camp.
To be accepted onto the course, you need to be:
- registered with Work and Income
- aged from 18 to 25 years (17 year olds can be considered)
- healthy and physically able to take part in outdoor activities
- able to meet minimum New Zealand Defence Force security requirements.

For the over 25s For the older group over 25 if they are registered with Work and Income, they can contact Pat direct about going on a Skills for Work course which will be held over a couple of weeks and then if they complete the course, it may lead to employment at one of City Housing construction sites.
