We have two new Capoeira classes kicking off at the community centre. Capoeira for Kids, Saturdays 1pm-2pm, $8 per class. All children up to 10 years of age welcome.

For those living in Newtown and would like to be more involved with issues taking place in your suburb, come along to the Newtown Residents’ Association meeting, tonight at Daniell St Hall at 7.30pm.

For the keen local gardeners, The Sustainability Trust off Tory St will be hosting the next Rhizome Effect event, this Wednesday 6-7.30pm. This will be a practical based workshop with guest speakers who will offer tips and tricks just before the springtime gardening rush hits.
Other topics covered in the workshop include no-dig and small space gardening; from food to market; planning for continual harvest; and green manure gardens.
And for the local cyclists, your chance to support a cycle route to the city! A public meeting will be held this Wednesday 7pm - 8.30pm at the Baptist Church, 284 The Parade.
