Open Forum 29 September at Central Park Community Room and 1 October at Newtown Park Community Room
City Housing spoke to tenants about the new Smokefree Policy and how our existing smokefree areas are going. At the Open Forum tenants learned all new Tenancy Agreements with City Housing will be smokefree as of 1 October 2016 . This means that smoking will not be allowed inside homes of new tenancies. Currently all communal areas are smokefree and several upgraded complexes like Regent Street Apartments, Berkeley Dallard Apartments, Marshall Court and Kotuku Apartments. Overall tenants responded positively to the changes. Tenancy Advisors received praise for the way they work with tenants.
The other topic discussed was Money Matters. City Housing are keen to think about ways to offer more help concerning tenants avoiding getting into arrears and offering support and training to tenants that want to better manage their existing debt.
We want to hear from tenants with their ideas or thoughts reading Money Matters.
